Pitsmoor Community

Welcome to the Pitsmoor St Philip’s community page! We are a mixed bunch of young and older families and young adults, some of whom have been living, serving and building relationships in Pitsmoor for a number of years (some for over 10!), whilst others are new to the area. We came together to form a new missional community during lockdown.

We are everyday people, with everyday lives, who know an extraordinary God. We want to journey together and see God’s love, life and light impact our local community. On our streets, in our homes, in the shops, on the school playground and the local park.

For the last few years we have met every other week to connect, pray together and encourage each other. We share a desire to grow together as family, eat together, pray and worship together, share lives and invite people that don’t know Jesus into this. This verse has been significant to us: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13v 34-35)

As well as connecting with each other in smaller ways, we meet up once a month as a whole for a bring and share meal and time of fellowship.

We would love to hear from you if you live in the area and want to connect in with us. You can email us at pitsmoor@stphilipssheffield.org to find out more. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
